This meeting, held on Tuesday March 3rd was the first at Robin Park's Kingfisher Lounge. And it was a cracker! In a packed room, surrounded by Wigan branding as far as the eye could see, this definitely felt like we were at our proper home. Long may it continue!
Our esteemed guests were Sam Halsall, Mitch Clark (Heritage number 1103), and Joe Bullock (Heritage number 1091). Introduced onto the stage (and their posh cherry red high seats), by Gail Featherstone, the lads were ably interviewed in depth by Jeanette Lusher.
Subjects covered were the previous Sundays victory over Huddersfield (and that Liam Marshall try!), going top of the league, Sam Powell, how we've improved from the Warrington game to the Huddersfield game (and the blip at Cas).
Also discussed were...work done on defence, work done on preventing opposition offloads, how the players feel the day after a match, competition for places, players buying into the Wigan way, Bevan French, Jackson Hastings, how the three players ended up signing for Wigan, Dom Manfredi, the importance of regular games, reserve grade matches, Kai Pearce-Paul, injuries and Harry Smith.
Other topics examined and explained on the night were the forthcoming fixture v Hull Kingston Rovers, Liam Farrell, Matty Peet, last season's poor start compared the this season's good start and player goals for 2020.
How do we fit it all in? To find out - why not attend our next meeting in April? You will be made most welcome.
